Al Maktoum International Airport, located within Dubai South, has been serving cargo flights since 2010 and passenger flights since 2013. It is set to become the world’s largest airport upon completion, with a planned capacity to handle over 160 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo annually.
The airport is currently undergoing a phased expansion, increasing from its original single runway to a total of five runways. This development aims to support its growing operational demands and enhance its status as a major global aviation hub.
