About the project

MANGROVE is an Emaar Properties project in Dubai Creek Harbour. The project is located within a waterfront masterplan on Dubai Creek at The Lagoons, beside the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Dubai Creek Harbour combines high-rise residential clusters, waterfront promenades and large-scale urban facilities.

MANGROVE in Dubai Creek Harbour

MANGROVE is located in Dubai Creek Harbour, a major waterfront development on Dubai Creek at The Lagoons. The district has been developed by Emaar Properties in partnership with Dubai Holding and is planned as a city within a city. Its setting combines residential towers, waterfront promenades and large urban components across reclaimed and waterfront land. Dubai Creek Harbour sits beside the Ras Al Khor wetland reserve, a protected habitat known for its flamingo population. The district’s position provides outlooks towards Dubai Creek and the Dubai skyline.

Waterfront setting and natural surroundings

Dubai Creek Harbour is positioned on the edge of Dubai Creek beside the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a protected wetland reserve and forms a distinctive natural neighbour to the district. Waterfront promenades are part of the wider masterplan, alongside high-rise residential clusters and public spaces. The district’s urban form places new-build residential development within a creekside setting, with views towards the water and the Dubai skyline. This combination of waterfront land, skyline outlooks and proximity to the wetlands defines the wider setting of MANGROVE.

The wider masterplan

The Dubai Creek Harbour masterplan brings together completed, under-construction and planned residential, retail and public-realm elements. Early plans referred to a six million square metre development, while future phases and supporting areas represent roughly 100 million square feet of development potential. The district includes high-rise homes, waterfront promenades and large-scale public spaces. Emaar has also begun construction on a new high-rise envisioned as a complementary counterpart to Burj Khalifa and a future landmark on the Creek skyline. A signature-architecture competition for the district included the Garden on the Coast concept by Studio (UK).

Transport connections and the planned Blue Line

Public-transport access within the immediate Dubai Creek Harbour area is currently limited. The nearest Dubai Metro station is Green Line station G30, 2,367 metres from the district. The Dubai Metro Blue Line is planned to improve connections to the Creek area, with a completion target of 2029. Plans include Emaar Properties Station, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The station is planned to stand 74 metres tall and cover 11,000 square metres. The proposed station forms part of the planned future public-transport infrastructure serving Dubai Creek Harbour.

District projects and public spaces

Dubai Creek Harbour includes a range of residential projects across the wider district, including Dubai Creek Residences, Oria Tower, Creek Haven, Aeon Towers, Address Residences Dubai Creek Harbour, Palace Residences Creek Blue and Creek Bay. Dubai Creek Residences was the first residential phase and comprises six apartment towers facing the Creek and Dubai skyline. The wider masterplan also includes The Square, a retail and leisure destination conceived on a scale intended to exceed Dubai Mall in ambition. These residential, retail, leisure and public-realm components are part of the evolving Creek Harbour district.

Emaar Properties

MANGROVE is developed by Emaar Properties. Emaar is the principal developer of Dubai Creek Harbour and developed the district in partnership with Dubai Holding. In 2022, Emaar announced the acquisition of full control of Dubai Creek Harbour land assets from Dubai Holding. The company recorded Dh4.2 billion in company sales in 2021 and Dh3.6 billion in Dubai Creek Harbour sales during the first half of 2022. Emaar’s activity in the district includes residential projects, waterfront development and the planned future landmark high-rise on the Creek skyline.
