Uptown Dubai: A Premier Mixed-Use District in Jumeirah Lakes Towers
Uptown Dubai, formerly known as the Burj2020 District, is a masterplanned development located within Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Designed by renowned architects, the district features over 10 million square feet of premium commercial and residential space.
The development includes approximately 3,000 apartments and several luxury hotels housed within seven towers atop a seven-level podium. Two of these towers are super-tall skyscrapers designed by leading Chicago-based architects.
The podium, elevated 28 meters above ground, features a two-level central plaza larger than New York’s Times Square. Surrounding the plaza are world-class retail outlets connected to an extensive mall below, offering more than 200 retail and food and beverage options.
Construction began in September 2017, with the first phase covering two million square feet scheduled to commence by the end of that year. Residential units in Uptown Dubai were made available for off-plan sales starting in early 2018.
