The Villages in Dubai South Residential District
The Villages is a major residential community within Dubai South, a vast development surrounding Al Maktoum International Airport. It is one of the first two neighborhoods established in the Dubai South Residential District, designed as a large-scale master-planned community.
Spanning up to five settlements, The Villages will offer around 20,000 homes including villas, townhouses, and apartments. Residences range from studios and lofts in buildings up to nine storeys, to spacious three- and four-bedroom townhouses with semi-private front gardens promoting walkability.
The community is family-oriented, featuring two- and three-bedroom apartments equipped with amenities such as swimming pools, gyms, play areas, and nanny lounges. Public facilities include schools, mosques, civic centers, and extensive open spaces.
A unique feature is the greenhouse with a botanical garden and farms, allowing residents to purchase or grow local produce. The greenhouse also offers indoor walking trails for year-round outdoor activities in a climate-controlled setting.
Construction began in 2016 on the first village, which includes 6,000 homes. The development emphasizes community happiness and well-being, with residential layouts designed to balance the needs of singles, couples, and families.
