Bawadi is a large-scale tourism and hospitality development planned in Dubai, envisioned as a major entertainment and retail destination. The project aims to feature 31 hotels along a 10-kilometer strip, complemented by shopping malls, theatres, and various entertainment centers.
Designed to be one of the longest hospitality and retail corridors globally, Bawadi was intended to rival prominent international leisure destinations. The development was initially launched in 2006 but was halted due to the global financial crisis before construction began.
In 2016, plans to revive the project were indicated, aligning with Dubai’s preparations for Expo 2020. While detailed updates remain limited, Bawadi represents a significant future addition to Dubai’s tourism and real estate landscape.
