Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park, located in Al Warqa 5, spans 119 hectares and is home to over 4,000 animals. Opened in 2020, the park offers a spacious and natural environment designed to enhance animal welfare compared to traditional zoos.

The park is divided into eight main zones: Entrance Plaza, Children’s Zoo, Arabian Safari, Asian Village, African Village, Safari Village, Al Wadi, and Service Areas. Visitors travel between these zones using eco-friendly solar-powered vehicles, promoting sustainability throughout the park.

Nearly 1,000 animals were relocated from the former Dubai Zoo to this new facility, where many participate in international breeding programs focused on genetic diversity. The park plans to expand its animal population to 10,000, supported by innovative cooling systems such as air-conditioned rocks, chilled pools, and misting machines powered by solar energy to maintain comfort in the desert climate.

Educational experiences are a key feature, with two theatres offering animal shows and interactive encounters. The larger 1,000-seat auditorium hosts performances featuring species like binturongs, otters, and raccoons, while the smaller 300-seat theatre focuses on birds and reptiles. Additional attractions include a butterfly park, botanical garden, and walk-through aviary, providing immersive nature experiences for visitors.
