**About this data and how to use it**

How much more does a Dubai apartment cost off-plan than ready? This index tracks the median price per square metre of off-plan (developer pre-registration) and ready (resale) apartment deals by year over a decade and by month over the last two years, together with the off-plan share of all apartment deals. It is the simplest way to see the off-plan premium and whether the market is tilting towards new launches or towards the secondary market.

## How to read it

Apartments only, medians of actual registered deals. The off-plan premium is the gap between the two medians; a widening gap usually means launches are priced ahead of the secondary market. Data from the Dubai Land Department registry, updated weekly.
